Mixing Leather & Lace

This weekend I went to an outdoor art event in Dana Point called Elephant Parade. I got to see different life-size Asian elephant statues painted by artists, dignitaries, and celebrities. What I absolutely love about this event is that it helps raise money to support Elephants and spread global awareness of the issues affecting these mammals.

After wandering the Elephant Parade, I walked around and explored some gorgeous spots of Dana Point. So... I couldn't help but include a little bit of the parade and local scenery in this post.

For this look I mixed a leather a-line tank (Nordstrom, Savvy) over a lace shirt (Nordstrom, BP), and midi tube skirt (Nordstrom, Savvy). I accessorized it with some statement earrings (Forever 21), a gold cuff (Nordstrom, BP), and leather strapped booties (Target). I love playing with different textures when I style. You should try it out too!

Style doesn't stop at Disney, you just add some ears!

Couldn't resist doing a Disney post, ears and all! I am so excited that my pass is no longer blocked due to the summer crowds, that I had to make a special trip after work.  After all, Disneyland is one of my favorite places on earth! And since I frequent this place often I thought I might do a post on, what I wear to places like this one.

Due to the heat still lingering from summer I kept my look comfortable, yet playful. I decided to pair my high waisted circle skirt (Target), with a fun black and white printed crop top (Nordstrom BP), denim motorcycle jacket, my studded converse, retro shades (Forever 21), and couldn't forget my
Minnie Ears!

What do you wear to Disneyland? or any other theme park? Whatever you do keep it comfortable,
but make it creative!
Happy Styling!

Completing the week with polka DOTS of course!

Happy Fashion Friday!
Thought I would complete the week with one more polka dot look. I decided to pair my polka dot skirt (Kaitlin Clothing) with collared blouse (Lush) under a off the shoulder sweater (Free People),  and vest (Leith). I also added a studded necklace (Nordstrom BP), studded cuff (Forever 21), and taupe booties (Report) to give the look some more detail. Overall, this was a fun look to wear and has some unexpected layers to give it playful feel.
Mix and match your polka dots with unexpected layers.
You may be surprised by what you come up with!
