Happy Friday everyone!

About two posts back I did a polka dot inspiration post and promised to share some of my own polka dot outfits and items. Here are a few photos of polka dot looks that I styled from my own closet.

I tried to show how versatile this amazing trend can be and I hope they inspire you to create some polka dot outfits of your own. Did I mention that all these outfits are all under $250!?!?! Not only are they cute outfits but also dots on a budget. Can't complain about that!

Parisian Inspiration Flashback

Bonjour les amis!

About four years ago I went to Paris, France with my Mom and Grandmother. I was so excited to visit one of the most famous fashion capitals of the world and let's just say... I wasn't disappointed. Paris is a beautiful city full of inspiration.

From time to time, I love to look back and re-live some of the most inspiring moments that I captured during my visit. While most of these photos have little to no fashion in them, the people, city, culture, art, and architecture still impact me the same.

These photos are pictures that I took during my visit. I hope they can be as inspiring to you as they are to me.

Polka Dots - trend fixation

Recently I have found myself fixated on the polka dot trend. This trend is not only easy for just about anyone to pull off but also very eye catching. I also love that polka dots are very easily transitioned from daytime, wear-to-work, and a night out on the town.

My favorite ways to style polka dots are...
  • pairing them with bright colored denim
  • mixing with stripes
  • combining them with different size dot patterns
  • adding edgy accessories
  • mixing with neutrals
  • combining them with florals or leopard prints
  • and the list goes on
I probably own about 15 different polka dot items. For my next post I will have to put together some pictures of all the different ways I have styled my own polka dot wardrobe. But in the meantime here are some of my favorite styling photos that I found to best represent this trend.

Ciao!

I made myself a promise when I graduated college to travel and experience the world. Last year I went to London for a week to see a friend studying abroad and I absolutely loved it! I caught the traveling bug and decided next would be Italy.

Now I am not just talking about going to Rome or Venice. I want to see Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan, Lake Como, and everything in between. I know that probably isn't possible in a few weeks, but I am determined to see as much as I can.

To demonstrate how serious I am about this Italian adventure I started taking Italian classes. I am about 3 months into these classes and although I couldn't really tell you anything in Italian off the top of my head other than, "Buona sera. Mi chiamo Kaley," I have learned to read it quite well.

As I continue to learn Italian I have been inspired by these photos and wanted to share them with you. And of course, I had to include some fashion inspiration of looks that I would love to put together for my trip.

Piacere!
