Trend Fixation - BRALETTES

Forget bandos its all about the bralette.

Most recently I have found myself intrigued by this bralette trend. By definition bralettes are: typically associated with an unlined wireless bra that pulls over the head.. It is more of a leisure bra as it provides little support. The bralette bra style is best suited for small busted women or for some support while sleeping (http://www.myfinelingerie.com/bra-styles.html).

Bralettes are a great piece to add to your wardrobe because they are fun, feminine and flirty. They can be found in a variety of colors and styles... my favorites have been floral or stripe patterns. I love to wear them with sheer tops, chambray shirts, high waisted skirts or shorts, and backless tops. However the options for this trend are endless.

Here are a few ways to wear the bralette and few from my own wardrobe...

Flashback to the 50's

On April 1st my roommate Natasha and I threw our best friend Lauren a 50's Retro/housewife bridal shower.

We started out with the idea of doing just an ice cream bar and from there decided if we were going to go with a theme, we would go all out. So of course we pulled out all the stops, which included a... Ice cream bar, candy station, popcorn machine, coke a cola bottles, sliders, tots, and some fun retro styled decorations.

Thank you to everyone that came and those that helped us put this all together! We had so much fun putting this on and glad everyone had a good time.

Here are some of the pictures from the shower Natasha and I put together. I hope you enjoy and get inspired if you have a bridal shower to plan!
