Styling in Monochrome

This week it is all about black and white, or in other words monochrome! I decided that all my posts will consist of outfits styled in black and white clothing. Personally I love to dress in these monochrome colors.

 

For this look here I wore a black top with lace detail (Kaitlyn Clothing), black and white print skirt (Nordstrom), white blazer (Nordstrom), black satchel (Marc by Marc Jacobs), and black and white flats (Steven by Steve Madden). This look is perfect for the office and great for happy hour! How will you style in Monochrome?

A BOLD Stripe Affair

From the moment I saw this Topshop dress, I knew that I had to make it part of my wardrobe. It's bold stripes caught my eye and I couldn't resist showing it off here on the blog. Although this dress is gorgeous on its own, I added a studded belt (Forever21), black leather vest (Leith from Nordstrom), and cap toe pumps (Nordstrom) to give it a little edge.

Have you ever found a dress that just screamed, BUY ME?!?! Because that is how I felt when I found this one. How will you style that dress? Will you let it stand alone or will you add other pieces to give it a little something more? Whatever you decide, I hope you wear it with a beautiful smile.
