More Orange, Morange!

With the weather heating up, I had to throw a pair of shorts into this weeks blog mix. I also had to add some morange (red orange) one of my favorite colors for spring and summer.

For this look I paired my lace morage top (Savvy department from Nordstrom) with a black brallet (Target), grey cut-off vest (Nordstrom Rack), black shorts (Savvy department from Nordstrom), mixed metal clutch (BCBG), Ray Bans, and black heels (Steve Madden).

This outfit is perfect for a night out or switch the heels out for wedges of sandals and it's interchangeable for a day out and about. How are you going to wear this fun color? Or work a pair of shorts and heels? You'll never know until you try!

Vintage Polka Dots

It's always fun to do a styled shoot with the talented Lauren Scotti. We had such a good time shooting this vintage green polka dot dress from Goodwill. You never know where you might come across a good find, so always keep your eyes open!

For this look I decided to pair the green polka dot dress with a Levi's denim jacket, tan belt, yellow suede shoes, retro shades, and pink jeweled statement earrings.

From recent life events, I have realized that you can't let others bring you down. You have to keep your head up and sometimes twirling in a polka dot dress helps with that too! Dress to make yourself feel good and show that off!

Layers on Stripes

Not every outfit has to be expensive to look good. I love it when I am able to put an outfit together that looks like I spent a pretty penny, but in actuality spent under $200! Not bad for a look you can wear for multiple occasions and pieces that can be utilized in many different ways.

For this look I wore H&M striped pants for $20, sheer Leith tank from Nordstrom for $20, Rubbish sweatshirt from Nordstrom for $32, Leather jacket from Kaitlyn Clothing for $40, statement necklace from Nordstrom for $48, BCBG clutch borrowed from a friends price unknown, and Sam and Libby booties from Target for $25. All pieces totaling $185!!!

Challenge yourself to use simple pieces like a sweatshirt, to update your wardrobe. Lets face it we all have a sweatshirt. How are you going to dress it up? Make it more than something you wear on a lazy day.
