Tasting my Way Through Italy

Not only is the fashion in Italy to die for, so is the food! I tasted wine, ate my fair share of pasta and pizza, and savored every gelato. In this post I thought it might be fun to show you all the different cuisine that I tried on my trip. Prepare to drool because the food is even more amazing than it looks. Buon Appetito!

Crop Wrap Shirt and Maxi Skirt Combo

The cropped shirt seems to be everywhere these days, so I decided to put a fun twist on the look with a wrap shirt. This shirt has the versatility that your summer wardrobe can't live without! You can wear it cropped like I did here, or layer it over a dress, bralette, tank, or bandeau.

This maxi skirt is also a great summer "go to" piece. It's comfortable and sassy without trying too hard. You can pair it with a fun top like the one shown or a simple t-shirt. A denim jacket is also a great third piece to add on as well.

In the looks below, I showed both my daytime casual version of this look and how easy it is to transition to nighttime dressy. This is probably one of my more sassy looks I have put together, but still leaves a little to the imagination.

Feel free to share your thoughts and suggestions. Happy styling!

Gatsby Themed Wedding Shoot by Lauren Scotti

With the upcoming release of the Gatsby movie, out Friday, I thought I might promote my best friend Lauren Scotti and her amazing photography talent. This styled shoot was published today on http://www.100layercake.com/blog/2013/05/06/the-great-gatsby-wedding-inspiration/ and I couldn't be more excited for her and all those involved.

I was the Maid of Honor for the shoot and had so much fun dressing up. It felt as though I really was dressed for a 1920s wedding. Some have even compared my look to the actual character, Daisy Buchanan, from the original movie. None the less, I am so grateful to have worked with such talented people on this project. And I can't wait to see this styled shoot inspire future weddings. Here are a few of the shots that I was a part of, and the rest can be found in the see all gallery images section here: http://www.100layercake.com/real-weddings/view/great-gatsby-wedding-inspiration/.
