Dressember Week 3

As the weeks go on I am having to be more creative with the looks I put together. Only 8 more days of Dressember, so I must make them count!

On the 17th day of Dressember I wore my form fitting tank dress with a sweater and leather jacket. I used gold accessories to tie it all together. So far I have to say this is probably my favorite. It is very comfortable and can be dressed down by losing the jewelry and dressed up by taking the beanie away.

On the 18th day of Dressember I did a REPEAT! I wore this polka dot dress previously on day 7 and changed it up by wearing a sweater and jacket over it this time. Overall a very comfortable look and yet great for transitioning from daytime to night. Thanks again to Lauren Scotti for the setting of this shot!

On the 19th day of Dressember I had to get creative to show this look because I didn't have anyone to take my photo. So instead I did a little photography of my own. I paired my black polka dot dress with a denim jacket, red lips, arm candy, and of course my studded converse.

On the 20th day of Dressember I wore a pink dress with a studded belt, floral blazer, polka dot tights, and combat boots. I love how this look has a little bit of pattern mixing and edge to match. Once again easily dressed up or down for any occasion.

On the 21st day of Dressember I wore my form fitting tank dress with a peplum striped top and a khaki trench vest, with non other than Mr. Justin Beiber! This was a fun look that I actually surprised myself with. I didn't really think to put this together until a spur of the moment idea came to me; in my frantic attempt to make it to work on time. And the best part is I kind of love it and look forward to wearing this look again.

On the 22nd day of Dressember I decided to get a little dressed up for a nice dinner. I paired my LBPD (Little Black Peplum Dress) with my leather jack,  faux fur vest and booties. I felt very polished but yet edgy. Love this dress! And this Look!

On the 23rd of Dressember I wore a burgundy dress with a angular cut khaki jacket, textured tights and booties to match. I wore this to see A Christmas Carol play at the South Coast Repertory. The play was absolutely amazing and I felt fashionable for the occasion. This completes week 3 of Dressember and I hope it has inspired you in some way as it has inspired me through out this season. My CUT! Costume and Cinema Exhibit Adventure

Last weekend I went to the CUT! Costume and Cinema Exhibit at the Bowers Museum and was amazed at how beautifully intricate the costumes are. The gowns are stunning and the male costumes look so authentic. It is amazing to see all the detail up close and witness all of the different distressing techniques used on the fabrics.

I am sure it's not hard to tell I love fashion, so this exhibit was definitely a favorite of mine and I encourage anyone that loves fashion or cinema to check it out!

Dressember Week 2!

On the 11th day of dressember I wore a striped dress with some cognac knee-high boots and over the knee off white socks. The peek-a-boo back detail is a fun element to a otherwise simple dress.

On the 12th day of dressember I wore a chambray corseted dress with a khaki jacket, oxfords, and red beanie. I absolutely love this dress because it can be worn casually like this or it can be a little bit country as well. Love wearing it with cowboy boots and a leather jacket. This can also be dressed up with a blazer and heels for a wear to work look.

On the 13th day of dressember I wore my LBPD (little black peplum dress) with textured black tights, leather sleeved army jacket, black and white scarf, and my studded converse. Love to rock these shoes with dresses because it isn't expected. You will definitely see this dress again before dressember is over because it is such a staple dress that can go with just about anything. I will be sure to show off the peplum next time.

On the 14th day of dressember I decided that I should re-style my bridesmaid dress. I thought that the coral colored blazer added a nice touch of color to the cream colored lace dress. I also thought the belt and oxfords helped to make the outfit a little more casual but polished.

On the 15th day of dressember I wore my striped sweater dress with a jean jacket and over the knee boots. I also spent day 15 with my best friend Miss Lauren Scotti, who also wore stripes. She is actually the one that inspired me to do dressember this year. I have to say I am glad I have participated because it is pushing me to style new outfits from my closet that I might not otherwise have thought to put together.

On the 16th day of dressember I went for a cozy casual look. I decided to wear my loose fitting shirt dress with a peek-a-boo slip, slouchy cardigan wrap, boots, and floppy hat. I spent day 16 at the Bowers Museum to check out the CUT! Costume and Cinema exhibit. I highly recommend checking it out. I absolutely loved it! I will be sure to do a post on it in the near future. Dressember Day 9 & 10!!!

Sorry for the delay! For Day 9 I continued my polka dot theme for the weekend by wearing my polka dot free people dress with textured tights, a leather jacket, and combat boots. I also added a little red lipstick to help give the look a little pizzaz. This is one of my absolute favorite dresses! And I am sure you will see it again before dressember is over.

For Day 10 I dressed it up a bit with my graphic print dress paired back to tights, tan booties, brown belt and my favorite khaki blazer! This look is great for work and can also be easily transitioned into happy hour. In fact I decided to meet up with my girlfriend after work and see a movie. 21 more days to go! Dressember Day 8

Thought I might try and wear my bridesmaid dress from my friends wedding in today's dressember. In order to do this I decided to wear it underneath my polka dot skirt with a belt and my jean jacket. Thought this was a fun way of continuing my polka dot theme for the weekend. Happy Dressember!

Dressember Day 7

It's all about polka dots for today's dress. It's a bit chilly out now so in order to keep warm I added a cozy sweater and tall boots. This was a very comfy look but yet dressy looking. I'm thinking that I might make polka dots an all weekend thing. Check back tomorrow for tomorrow's polka dot look. Happy Dressember!!!

Dressember Day 6!

Today's dress of choice is my sheer grey shirt-dress. I love that it is light weight and pairs well with a black slip, and leather sleeved army jacket. Combat boots would also be fun to go with this! Happy Dressember!

Dressember Day 5

I am in 5 days and still haven't repeated any dresses yet.  And I still have plenty more to share the next few days. Today, I decided to wear my cream lace shift dress over some leggings and paired back to army green vest, booties, bracelets, and necklaces. I love the contrast that the dress has against the black and green. This is one of my favorite looks so far and can't wait to share more. Happy Dressemeber!

Sorry for the slight post delay... Today (December 4th) I decided that I wanted to wear my sweater dress. To make the dress stand out as an outfit I threw on my favorite leather jacket, polka dot scarf, knee-high boots, and layered up those bracelets again. What I love most about this look is that the dress itself is very comfy yet polished and put together. Looking forward to showing 27 more dresses (no pun intended). Happy Dressember!

Today I decided to make my dressember outfit a little more casual-edgy. I am wearing my William Rast for Target dress, with a black blazer, patterned tights, combat boots, and a grey beanie. Today I have a special event at work which requires me to dress up a little for the holiday season. I decided that this lace dress would pair nicely with a leather jacket, red satin pumps, and of course some red lips. Overall the look is pretty simple but I love something that can easily come together and look polished. Happy Dressember!!!
